Safety Record

Safety is of prime consideration on every single project ABLE undertakes. In over 30 years of operation we have maintained such a high standard of site safety, with no major lost time injuries, that ABLE has been cited as "setting the bar" for industry standard.

With a Lost Time Injury Frequency ratio of 5.5 in an industry where the average is 28, ABLE enjoys the lowest Workcare levy for its industry classification.

"In a recent project lasting 7 months and 27,000 man-hours, there were no injuries or incidents recorded with only one minor first aid treatment". Shell Review

All ABLE on-site personnel not only hold the appropriate certificates to operate their equipment but are skilled across a broad range of fields enabling them to utilise the equipment in a much more effective way.

We are a highly mechanised workforce - this translates to less personnel on-site at any one time, which reduces the chances of accidents and enables contract periods to be considerably shortened.

Our people hold all relevant tickets in rigging, crane operation, as dogmen, scaffolding and asbestos removal with many having specialist tickets in crane driving and mine management.

We are a tight team and work tasks are generally arranged so that personnel work in groups with a minimum of two.
ABLE is committed to workplace safety and has a 'broad public risk cover' to $25,000,000 (reviewed annually). To date there have been no major claims.
