Demolition - Plant & Equipment
Our demolition equipment comprises over 70 units of major plant which includes excavators, mobile cranes, drop hammers, track loaders, skid steer loaders and scissor and boom lifts. With each of these comes a range of specialist attachments and major tools such as pulverizors, grapples, plasma cutters, hammers and shears.
ABLE's fleet of hydraulic excavators, currently numbering 25, ranges in size from 1.5 tonnes to over 100 tonnes. Our two Komatsu PC1000's are the largest demolition tools in use in Australia – with a reach of 15 metres they can break-up, push over or pull down a 5 storey building and with their XXX shears, can cold cut a 30" universal beam with one cut.
ABLE's range of high capacity cold cutting demolition tools include Metal Shears capable of cutting through 800mm diameter heavy pipe in one cut and a 1500mm bridge beam in two cuts. Our Plate Shears are capable of cold cutting up to 32mm plate steel with one cut.
All materials are held during cutting and lowered to the ground in complete safety with little noise or vibration.
We have also adapted our hydraulic impactors to cold cutting, for the shearing of bolt heads and nuts, column feet, pipe flanges, vessels and exchangers.
