Royal Botanical Gardens Lake Drainage - Project No: 83440
Royal Botanical Gardens lake drainage, removal of silt and noxious water weeds. Lowering of lake bed to a depth of 2 metres to prevent re-growth.
| Building roads over soft wet silt for truck access into the lake. This is done after the water has been drained off. |
| Excavation & loading out of 1.5 meter deep wet and boggy contaminated silt buildup. |
| The lake is now revitalised after 100 years of silt buildup and the undesirable weeds that choke the lake have been removed. The lake designer, the late William Robert Guilfoyle, would be pleased. |
