| This four meter diameter spiral casing inset is being lifted up three storeys to ground floor level by a 100 tonne gantry crane. This same crane was used to lower the two (in number) 30 tonne excavators in and out of the works area |  |

| Cutting 50mm to 150mm thick concrete encased Bisalloy spiral casing. Able removed approximately 2000 tonnes of reinforced concrete plus approximately 150 tonnes of Bisalloy spiral casing from within the concrete. |  |

| After removing 1200 tonnes of concrete from above the damaged hydro-turbine spiral casing, two (in number) 30 tonne excavators are used to prise a small section of the casing free from the concrete below. |  |
